Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Genjator's Ships! I've been wanting to put together a collection of ships that I have been making in a game called StarMade. If you haven't heard of it, it's a block-building construction game very similar to Minecraft, but set in space. It's still in alpha, but I've found it to be a rather fun game. If you haven't played either game, I recommend you check them both out. StarMade is still in alpha, so if you try it, don't expect a full working game, but a fun one nonetheless.

Anyway. So, I've always been a big fan of space-based stuffs, especially space combat and ship design. I've watched Star Trek since I was a little kid, and have become a Stargate fan in recent years. I'll spare you further details on my likes and interests, but to sum up, StarMade provides a fun way to build ships and then test them in combat. It also includes elements of mining and exploring, with more being developed. There is a growing community surrounding the game, with hundreds of designs of ships of all different types.

I wanted to share what I've been working on in a place where they could all be found with ease. So, I welcome you, and invite you to take a look and enjoy. If you see something you like, let me know, feel free to try it. I upload my ship blueprints to starmadeblueprints.com, so feel free to stop by there and take a look. I'll provide links in each ship description to the upload. Be sure to check out the other shipwrights who upload their stuffs there!

Highland Rail Refit

Following the consolidation of several Terra-based ship construction companies, the Highland design was turned over to the former Whitney Defense Corporation, now renamed the HomeCrew Defense Alliance. The HDA reviewed the schematics, and decided to incorporate new advancements in rail technology. This led to redesign of several major systems:
- Shuttle docking was updated and a logic system was implemented to raise and lower the shuttle.
- Hangar doors were added for both shuttle and repair drone bays
- Dual repair drones were replaced with a single, larger, and more powerful version
- Side beam cannons were replaced with additional missile launchers (old beams were drawing far too much power for minimal effect)
- Halyx-class cannon entirely removed
- Zealot-class anti-fighter turrets replaced with twin-barreled Apollo-class light machine-gun turrets
- Extendable sensor pods on top of ship
- Rotating sensor dish added to top of ship
- Removed extraneous systems
- Increased Overdrive to give small performance boost

The Highland Rail Refit now offers more of a system exploration ship, returning the original purpose behind the design. While capable of holding its own against light attackers, captains of this ship should note that combat is not its primary role. Any engagement with ships of corvette-class or higher should be withdrawn from as soon as possible.

Constructive feedback is welcome!

Posting Delay

Hello everyone!

I wanted to apologize to those of you who have been following my blog. I am still here, and I am still designing and building. Life has been hectic, the usual combo of school and work. Summer classes are the sweetest of joys!

In addition, the recent updates have had be returning to old builds to mess with the new stuffs and redesign them. That said, the Highland Rail Refit is nearly complete, pending a few final decisions. I hope to have that up soon, along with a new design that while not pretty, should at least make a nice addition to any fleet needing a decent scout frigate.

I also plan to go back to other designs and update them, some from over a year ago. I've proceeded to gut the entire hull of the USF Kellen, as well as strip away all the turrets. I've got a few different ideas of how to proceed, and might even make several versions featuring different variations.

Anyway, thank you all again for sticking around! As always, if you have any comments or suggestions, let me know, either here or in the Starmade Registry! Stay safe out there!

Whitney MK1 Orbital Defense Platform

Hello all!!

I give you the Whitney MK1 Orbital Defense Platform. Mobile with both thrusters (2.3mps) and jump drive, it can be moved into position wherever it is needed. Intended for light to medium defense operation, it is capable of holding off most fighters and light corvettes. Set with 4M shields and 25M energy, it can hold out long enough for reinforcements to arrive to push back larger offenses, or to retreat to a safer position. Complete with a spartan, though comfortable interior, and two repair shuttle provided by the Whitney Defense Corporation, the Whitney MK1 ODP is a great addition to any station or planet claim.

You can find it at the below link. I hope you all enjoy!!

USF Telithra Refit

Okay, after a long way, I give you the USF Telithra Refit. I'm proud of how this one came out, and it went through several revisions until I finally got it to where I wanted it to be. To those familiar with the original version, there are some immediate differences in armament, but a quick overview: wing cannons were removed and replaced with lock-on missiles on the sides (not pictured here). The main cannons were powered up with piercing effect. Multiple beam emitters were added to the front to allow for a quick-firing weapon. The main cannons were overhauled and made stronger. All the Anti-Fighter Turrets were replaced with a new, more powerful design. A single beam turret replaced the captain shuttle docking area, and the original bridge area was replaced with a scanner array. The small cannons were replaced with lock-on missile turrets. All the fighters were removed and replaced with a smaller number of upgraded variants, including 4 Gallin MK2's, 2 Trelin MK3's, and 2 Trelin MK4's. A combat alert logic system was added which activates internal flashing red lights and forcefields.

I hope you enjoy this version! The link for it is just below. Additionally, the second link is for another version the COBALT version, in which I added blue forcefields to the entire outside of the ship that active when the logic combat alert system is activated. It can be major system hog, to activate all those shields, but it produces a really cool look for the ship. Catch them below. If you have any suggestions, post them here or on the resources at the Star Made Dock. Thanks for enjoying!

Upcoming Post!!

Okay, so as a taste from what will be up in the next few days, I'll give you these pictures. It's not quite finished, I need to tweak the power on it some. And yeah, it's a massive CPU/RAM hog, so I'll have two versions of the ship, one with and one without. But for pictures, I give you the USF Telithra Refit with the Cobalt Defense System.

Telithra Refit Update

So, I decided after a long while, it was time to update some of my older designs and make them relevant again. I really liked some of my earlier work, and want to see it back in the public use. With that being said, progress has been slow due to my having moved and started school again. I managed to get in some work this week, and wanted to put up a few images to keep everyone interested. If anyone has any suggestions, drop me a comment. Hope you enjoy!

Cimitar Heavy Fighter

The Cimitar Heavy Fighter was designed in conjunction with the Lance Fighter by the Terrig Corporation. Meant to function in a support role, it was built for quick in-and-out runs against light to medium capital ships. The Cimitar trades rapid-fire missiles for homing capability, requiring it to move in close before launching a powerful barrage. The twin AMC mounts also allow for limited anti-fighter defense or shield damage. Due to power limitations, it is strongly recommended that Cimitars before short runs rather than prolonged firing streaks, as this will rapidly deplete the power reserves and leave the ship vulnerable.
